Child Safety Standards
Effective: January 1, 2026
Introduction
At ShipTogether, we are committed to providing a safe environment for all users, particularly protecting against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in our social/dating app available on the Google Play Store.
Prohibitions
ShipTogether has a zero-tolerance policy for any content or behavior that exploits, endangers, or facilitates harm to children. This includes:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any visual, textual, or auditory content depicting or promoting sexual abuse or exploitation of minors.
- Facilitation of Exploitation: Content or features that enable users to create, upload, or distribute material that exploits or endangers children, including grooming or predatory behavior.
- Inappropriate Interactions: Communications or interactions targeting minors for exploitative purposes, such as soliciting explicit content or engaging in sexualized conversations.
- Depictions of Harm: Content that promotes or depicts violence, abuse, or neglect of children.
Any violation results in immediate removal of the offending content, suspension or termination of the user’s account, and reporting to relevant authorities as required by law.
Prevention and Safety Features
- Content Monitoring: We employ automated and manual review processes to monitor user-generated content for signs of CSAE.
- User Reporting: Users can report content they find inappropriate directly through our apps. We encourage active community involvement in maintaining a safe environment.
- Age-Appropriate Content: Our apps are designed for adults (18+), with verification measures to prevent minor access and ensure content is appropriate.
- Privacy Protection: We adhere to stringent data privacy practices, ensuring that personal information, especially from potential minors, is handled with utmost care and in compliance with laws like COPPA.
Reporting and Contact
For any concerns related to child safety, users can contact our designated Child Safety Officer.
- Email: team@shiptogether.dev (or your dedicated email)
We will report any identified CSAE to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or similar organizations as required by law.
Compliance and Enforcement
- Content Moderation: All user-generated content (e.g., profiles, messages, images) is subject to moderation to detect and remove material that violates child safety standards.
- User Reporting: Users are encouraged to report inappropriate content or behavior, with prioritization for child safety concerns.
- Enforcement: Failure to comply results in content removal or account suspension. Moderation systems are continuously updated to align with Google Play’s requirements.
- Developer Responsibilities: Proactively monitor and moderate content to prevent child endangerment; regularly review and update this policy to reflect Google Play’s requirements and industry best practices.
This policy complies with Google Play’s Child Endangerment and Child Safety Standards policies, ensuring the app remains free of child sexual abuse and exploitation. We self-certify compliance through the Play Console for each app update or new publication.
Conclusion
ShipTogether is dedicated to creating a secure digital space where safety and enjoyment coexist. We invite our users to help us in this mission by reporting any content that violates our standards.
