What Is Public
Some information can be seen by people who are not signed in, including search engines and AI assistants.
- Shipyard projects are public by default: title, description, image, links, technologies, upvote and comment counts, and the author's name and role. You can hide any project from the public web in its settings.
- Your builder profile is private by default. If you turn on Public profile (at sign-up or in Settings), your name, username, photo, headline, bio, skills, what you are looking for, country and the links you added become visible at shiptogether.dev/builders/your-username.
- Never shown publicly: your email, age, gender, city, precise location, online status, messages, connections, payment details or account settings.
- Only signed-in members can connect with you, message you, upvote or comment on projects, or contact a seller.
- Turn public visibility off at any time in Settings. Pages are removed immediately; search engines may take a few days to drop cached copies.
